Dr Susan Jones is well known to our community as she has lived and practiced medicine at Gila Valley Clinic for over 30 years. She graduated from University of Arizona Medical School and did her Family Practice Residency at Santa Monica Hospital in California.  After joining a practice in Northern California for 2 years, she and her family decided to return to Arizona.  Gila Valley Clinic was looking for a family doctor and Dr Jones joined the practice in 1984.

Dr. Jones especially enjoys the spectrum of family practice from OB care to care of the elderly in the clinic as well as at Haven Care Center where she is medical director.

Dr Jones has been active on the medical staff of Mt Graham Regional Medical Center serving as chief of staff in the past and is a member of the hospital District Board.

Dr Jones and her husband Tom Hamm are active in many community activities and enjoy living in Safford. Her two sons Andy and Thomas went to Safford schools. Andy is married to Katie and is a manager at an office store and Thomas is a software engineer.

"I am very blessed to work and live in this community.  Everyone is kind and caring. I want to give back to the community and feel that I can accomplish that with continuing to practice quality health care and being involved in community activities. It is a joy to help provide health care to my community, my friends."
