I was born and raised in Clifton, Arizona. My parents are Abraham and Lillian Rivas, Jr. My dad is a retired electrician from the copper mine.

I am a proud United States Air Force Veteran. I attended Easter Arizona College for my nursing degree and continued my education through Northern Arizona University.

I am married to Jeff Vaughn, he is an emergency department nurse at Mt.Graham Regional Medical Center and the Pre-hospital Coordinator. We have two sons, Anthony is attending college and studying project management, William will be completing high school and is interested in medicine.

I love nursing and decided to pursue my nurse practitioner degree after volunteering with a medical project in Honduras where we provided free health clinics.

It is a privilege to provide healthcare within my hometown community.
